This is the new home of information for the Sackville CSA initiative. We hope to keep a current posting of what is expected in each week's produce, news about local agriculture and what's in duscussion about organic farming in North America.
Sackville CSA welcomes any comments, news, reviews and home brews.
News from Kent: As suggested by Beth, and fully endorsed by me, I would like to invite all those willing to a weeding party at my place this Sat (16 Jun 07). I remember before I started to farm for a living that weekends were sacred and understand those who will not be there. Here is my suggestion:
1. Meet at my place between noon and 1pm for a potluck lunch (with the risk of sending people to work with the post lunch slump). 2. Weed for a couple of hours at my place and where we have vegetables growing at the strawberry farm. (this will also allow Jane to nap) 3. With all the time I save with the extra help I propose that we go canoeing for an hour or two. Probably at Jolicure lakes, but I have been away for 12 years and there could be better spots. 4. Children are welcome to come - either to help or keep Jane company.
I have a couple of extra canoes - but will need some advance warning. Give me a call, as I may not check email before Sunday.
